I wonder...

So here I am again. I wanna start by saying I love the movie Easy A. I thought it was soooo cute and funny. I laughed my tushy off the entire movie. So yeah. I still haven't thought of a good topic to talk about. I'm not super in with fashion...nor am I uber crafty. My interests include Art and Music...well some of it. Art seems to be where my passion really is at. I do draw some stuff like fruit, flowers, inanimate objects, pets. I just can't draw people...well at least their faces. Give me body parts and I'm good. Make me draw a face and it sucks. Maybe I should just talk about art. It is something that I love and plan on working with for the rest of my life. So here it is. First off. I love pre-renaissance art AND modern day impressionism. I love the realistic feel of the older art and the complete wackiness of modern day things. To be honest I would say for modern day I prefer installation pieces more to something draw. Installation gives the art more feeling. You feel and see how the artist intended a piece to feel or look like. It has more of a depth to the piece. I really love the huge steel pieces done by Richard Serra. The pieces are nothing more then HUGE steel plates that are given a curve and stood on their side. The curve in the plates is what allows it to stand on end. The finished pieces are enormous and with the ability to walk through the pieces it make the art work feel even more daunting and magnificent almost as if it could just fall over at any minute and crush you but it won't due to the physics of it all.....Just thinking about it is amazing. Well that's all I have for now. Next time I'll pick a pre-renaissance artists and discuss one of my favorite pieces. If you ever did want to know more about Richard Seera I'll leave a link to the NY Times article that was done about him. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/20/arts/design/20kenn.html?_r=1#
